For those of you that remember, the Ford Pinto was one of the main competitors against the AMC Gremlin, enough so that AMC made a comparison commercial.
Why the AMC Gremlin is Better Than a Ford Pinto
- Cheaper
- 6 cylinder over a 4 cylinder in the Pinto
- Fold down rear seat
- Wide hatch
- Gas tank is less likely to explode in a rear end collision
- Will be widely collected in the near future
While most of this decision has to do with preference, you will often find in many debates that lines have been drawn and sides have been split. You can't change an AMC enthusiasts mind about the Gremlin, the same goes for Ford lovers.
However, since this is a versus article, one car has to be chosen over the other, which is of course the AMC Gremlin.
Would you expect a site dedicated to the Gremlin to say differently?
